This dress was downright ugly before I redesigned it. Gorgeous aqua/gray/silver silk, I removed the original sleeves, shortened it to a swishy party length and added a beautiful 1960's beaded belt. A real wow waiting to swing on the dance floor!
This gorgeous piece was made from 100 year old Odd Fellows regalia collars embroidered with dimensional silver coil wire. I over beaded it. Leather is from an old bomber jacket and closed with a Deco era buckle. Strap is round 4 strand braiding in 2 colors. Pretty great!
I collect needlepoint pieces at thrift stores and garage sales to use in various ways. This one of the famous Picasso painting "Girl Before a Mirror," I made into the bag combined with black/white pinstriped velveteen and backed with an upholstery fabric shot with stripes of silk velvet.
